Club Committee Actions

The following a decision taken by the Club Committee at their meeting on the 3rd November 2011. Future actions will be added to this list to communicate to members the work the committee is doing.
In addition you will find the “Green Committee” report on the notice board.

Communication from the Club Committee (1)

The following actions were taken at a recent Club Committee meeting.

  • Triples Day competition will remain as a 1 day event. (semi and Finals to be played later)
  • Club subscriptions will increase to £130 Full, £20 Social for the year 2012.
  • The Green Sub-committee has reviewed the status of the green with the green keepers and consultant and have begun an action plan.
  • New social members joined are Tom Turner and Kenneth Botley.
  • Ladies Surrey and Borough competitions entry lists will be displayed on the notice board.
  • The current position regarding the PBSSC Ltd and PBSSC and the Lease of the site is being progressed with the view to amending the current situation, with a view to reduce the club’s annual costs.
  • The RNLI have been given use of the Club Hall for their Fund raising Quiz on the 3rd of February.

Communication from the Club Committee (2)

The following actions were taken at a recent Club Committee meeting.

  • Any new Social membership will not include use of bowling facilities
  • The PBSSC has been wound up and replaced by the Purley Bury Sports Field (PBSF) which will have three Trustees one for each club.
  • The current rules are being reviewed and amended and formatted to make them easier to read.

Communication from the Club Committee (3)

The following actions were taken at a recent Club Committee meeting.

  • Club security has been reviewed and a number of actions are planned.
  • The Committee nominated John Tucker as Surrey Junior Vice-President for 2013.
  • Fixture list was reviewed and approved after discussion.
  • The clubs rules were reviewed and a version will be submitted for approval at the next AGM or EGM.
  • Rules re the hire and reservation of the club will be discussed at the next Committee meeting
  • Rink Skips will be reminded that if a junior player is on their rink then they should assist and mentor them in the “social side of the après match”.
